6 Million acres in the Adirondack Park. Located as you head west in to the village of Newcomb. Plenty of nearby parking and restroom facilities.
Newcomb is located near Tahawus, the southern gateway to the High Peaks. The Adirondack Interpretive Center has its home here and there are two nearby firetower mountains (Mt. Adams and Goodnow Mountain). You can visit Great Camp Santanoni while in Newcomb.
To get credit for this virtual cache you must complete the following task. Located about 50 feet from GZ is a tribute monument to a significant Adirondack person. MESSAGE me with 2 contributions to the Adirondacks, from the monument plaque, that this individual made during their lifetime. Logging without sending a MESSAGE could mean your log will be deleted.
