The train that you can see here was private property of familiy Gutmann. That kind of train was used for industrial purposes like transporting wood and workers. In 1908. all the train become the property of Slavonsko-podravska railroad and was established a public railroad route Belišće - Osijek. The original trainstation was a bit further down the street from the memorial train.
Unfortunately because its narrow tracks all the trains of this type were decomisioned around 1970s when larger passenger trains were presented to public and the train station was moved where is still nowdays. See and visit another geocache Train station.
This train section that you see here is a memorial to those industrial and public transportaion ways so feel free to enjoy this historical part of city Belišće.
