Raně gotický kostel Svaté Kateřiny v Nové Vsi u Mladé Vožice (dříve též Lazice) ze 13. století, částečně zbarokizovaný v 18. století, je jednou z nejstarších dochovaných církevních staveb na území okresu Tábor. Jednolodní kostel s dvojboce uzavřeným presbytářem, sakristií a mohutnou věží má prosté fasády s nárožním lemováním. Jsou zde dochované středověké konstrukce a prvky (okna, klenby, zdivo).
První písemná zmínka o kostelu Svaté Kateřiny je z r. 1257 (dle materiálu památkového ústavu byl nynější kostel postaven kolem let 1300 až 1325), po r. 1350 přistavěna sakristie, v 18. stol. barokně upraven, připojena předsíň a jižní kaple, v r. 1808 sklenuta loď a v r. 1811 upravena věž do nynější podoby.
Kostel sv. Kateřiny stojí na ploše bývalého hřbitova ve východní části návsi nad protékajícím potokem. Kolem kostela se nalézá oválný prostor zrušeného hřbitova, který vymezuje nad okolní terén zřetelně vystupující kamenný taras využitý pro zapuštění nového plotu.

The early Gothic St. Catherine´s church in Nová Ves near Mladá Vožice from the 13th century, partially baroqued in the 18th century, is one of the oldest surviving church buildings in the Tábor district. It is a one-nave church with a double-sided presbytery, a sacristy and a massive tower, it has plain facades with corner edging. There are preserved medieval structures and elements (windows, vaults, masonry).
The first written mention of the church is from 1257 (according to the Nat. Heritage Institute material, the current church was built between 1300 and 1325), after 1350 the sacristy was added, in the 18th century. renovated in the Baroque style, the vestibule and south chapel were added, the nave was glazed in 1808 and the tower was modified to its current form in 1811.
St. Catherine´s church stand on the area of the former graveyard in the eastern part of the village above a flowing stream.
Around the church there is an oval area of the abandoned graveyard, which defines a stone terrace clearly protruding above the surrounding terrain, used for embedding a new fence.
