A sua economia assenta muito nas pescas mas a agricultura é também fundamental. Essencialmente produz cacau para exportação e banana, pimenta, matabala, milho, vinho de palma e azeite de palma, entre outros, para comercialização interna.
Gente muito acolhedora e afável mas com uma enorme percentagem a viver no limiar da pobreza.
