Geocache Description:

This was a serendipitous find. We were visiting the Howlong Memorial Park on the banks of the Murray River and I noticed an intriguing rotunda with vibrant artwork on the exterior. I had to go and have a closer look and when I entered, I was both surprised and delighted at what I found inside.

I immediately considered this to be the place for my new Virtual Cache.

The hut is a mud-brick rotunda that was built in the 1940's and the mural is called "The Enchanted Hut'. It is designed to create a vibrant space where children can engage in imaginative play. Federation Council in Howlong commissioned a local Albury artist/illustrator to create this and it was completed in December 2018.

There is a very nice playground nearby, and covered eating areas and amenities. There is even a boat-ramp if you wish to launch your boat.

Bring your children or your own inner-child and come and enjoy this lovely artwork and then maybe have your lunch or a rest stop right here on the banks of the river.

To log your find:-

1. Take a photo of yourself (it doesn't need to be a face shot) or something that identifies you e.g. your GPS, your Hat or T-shirt with name, or Name Tag you wear at Events or a piece of paper with your team name. The shot can be either inside or outside the hut showing some of the artwork, without spoilers of course! (to be posted with your "Found It" log).

2. Email me the answers to a couple of questions.

(a) What is the name of the artist?

(b) How many creatures depicted here have 3 eyes?

No photos or answers and your on-line log will be deleted.
