Welcome to a jewel in Calgary's architectural landscape: the Central Library in the neighbourhood of East Village. This building has won multiple awards for its beauty and design and made lists of top places to visit in the world. The Central Library was designed by two architectural firms: Norway's Snøhetta and Canada's Dialog. The building opened to the public in 2018.

The exterior of the building features The Archway, an outdoor thoroughfare that connects East Village to Calgary's downtown while taking visitors over the C-Train line that runs underneath the library. The Archway's name and curved walls, which are made of red cedar from British Columbia, are inspired by the chinook arch phenomenon that frequently occurs in Calgary. To access The Archway on the east side of the building, you can take the stairs up or use the elevator slightly south of the stairs. On the west side, you'll find both a ramp and stairs. The interior of the building is also 100 per cent accessible for all visitors with ramps and elevators. The library's main entrance is located north on The Archway.

You'll also find three statues outside, appropriately titled Trio. The royal rogues son says these statues remind him of drinking bird toys with their movements, and this is the sort of whimsy and fun Trio's artist, Christian Moeller, means to evoke with these statues. This cache's coordinates have taken you to 2/3 of the Trio statues. The other 1/3 of Trio is on the east side of the building at ground level.
The task to successfully complete and log this virtual is to post a photo with your Found It log that includes 1) this 2/3 of the Trio statues and 2) you/all or part of your geocaching team, your GPS, your geodog, your bike, a piece of paper with your geocaching handle written on it, and/or some other visual way of proving you were at the cache coordinates.
