Hoppbackarna i Hindås består av en större hoppbacke som är byggd i betong och en mindre hoppbacke byggd i granitblock.
De första hoppbackarna i Hindås byggdes mellan 1904-1906 och var konstruerade i trä. Av dessa finns idag inga spår kvar utan revs 1932 och då påböjades byggandet av de två backar som finns här idag. Den stora hoppbacken blev klar 1933.Ett rykte säger att av virket från den gammla rivna hoppbacken byggdes ett hus i närheten, huset ska stå kvar än idag.
Under många år var det tävlingar i hoppbacken och den sista tävlingen arrangerades 1986 och efter det har hoppbacken stått och förfallit. För drygt 10 år sedan tog kommunen upp frågan om att riva hoppbacken men då bildades en stiftelse som undersökte möjligheterna att restauera backen och sedan 2015 har gruppen gjort stora arbeten för att återställa hoppbacken.
Nu senvintern 2023 är stiftelsen nästan klara med renoveringen och har förutom att lagat och stabliliserat upp hopptornet även byggt en utsiktsplattform uppe i tornet dit man kommer att kunna ta sig via en trappa eller med hiss. Invigning är planerat till våren/sommaren 2023. Öppettider och eventuell bokning av att få komma dit upp är inte bestämmt ännu. I december 2022 blev dessutom Hindås hoppbackar byggnadsminnes förklarade.

The ski jumps in Hindås consist of a larger ski jump built in concrete and a smaller ski jump built in granite blocks.
The first ski jumps in Hindås were built between 1904-1906 and were made of wood. Of these there are no traces left today, they were demolished in 1932 and then the construction of the two slopes that are here today was postponed. The large ski jump was completed in 1933. A rumor says that a house was built nearby from the wood from the old ski jump, the house still stands today.
For many years there were ski jumps competitions and the last competition was arranged in 1986 and after that the ski jump has stood and decayed. Just over 10 years ago, the municipality raised the issue of demolishing the ski jump but then a foundation was formed to investigate the possibilities of restoring the ski hill and since 2015 the group has done major work to restore the ski jump.
Now in the late winter of 2023, the foundation is almost finished with the renovation and, in addition to fixing and stabilizing the jumping tower, has also built a viewing platform at the top of the tower where you will be able to reach via stairs or elevator. Opening is planned for spring/summer 2023. Opening hours and possible booking to get up there have not been decided yet.
