Geocache Description:

The Bird of Freedom is a giant aluminium and steel sculpture of a kestrel, standing at 2.5m high with a 15ft wingspan.  It soars above the Great Notley Country Park on top of a hill, at the highest point between Great Notley and the coast. It was created by Jonathan Clarke and installed in 2000.  Unfortunately, the original sculpture was stolen in 2007, but was replaced by a replica in 2008.

Each face of the plinth features four metal reliefs showing scenes from nature designed by local schoolchildren.  In order to log this find, you will need to complete the following tasks:

1.  Message me the number ABC, where A = the total number of ladybirds on the plinth, B = the total number of birds, and C = the total number of horses.

2.  State the names of 3 other creatures represented on the plinth.

3.  Attach a photo of you or your GPS with the Bird of Freedom in the background - please note that, in accordance with Geocaching guidelines, there is no requirement for your face to appear in the photo.

Physical caches have been placed in this location previously but were often muggled due to the high number of visitors so I thought this would be a good location for one of the Virtual Rewards 3.0 - 2022-2023.

This Virtual Cache is part of a limited release of Virtuals created between March 1, 2022 and March 1, 2023. Only 4,000 cache owners were given the opportunity to hide a Virtual Cache. Learn more about Virtual Rewards 3.0 on the Geocaching Blog.
