Come admire a piece of public art by a popular park in Orem, Utah.
This metal sculpture was commissioned and installed at the time that the playground was upgraded to become the All-together playground. The sculpture's theme pays homage to the Timpanogos storytelling festival that originated in Orem and was hosted there annually until 2017. It also mirrors the Windows to the Imagination stained glass window display at the nearby Orem library.
While the playground is all about inclusivity and togetherness, this sculpture definitely requires viewers to keep their distance. Sharp edges abound as the statue incorporates recycled metal pieces such as razor blades, saw blades, and other sharp-edged pieces of metal to bring its subjects to life! Hence the cautionary sign nearby to not touch or climb on the statue.
To log a find on this virtual geocache, please follow these instructions:
First: Visit the site and admire the sculpture (from a distance!).
Second: Walk a few feet west of the sculpture and find the short section of tan fence with names of donors carved into their west side (the side facing away from the statue). The section you are looking for has 10 slats. Please message me the name on any one of these 10 donor slats as proof that you visited the site in person.
Third: Come up with a name for this art piece and include it in your log.
Fourth: Consider uploading a picture of yourself or someone in your group with the sculpture. This is encouraged, but not required.
