Palmhuset i trädgårdsföreningen

Det uppfördes 1878 med Kristallpalatset i Hyde park i London som förebild. Palmhuset består av fem avdelningar: Palmhuset (Mittskeppet), Medelhavshuset, Kameliahuset, Tropikhuset och Vattenhuset. Varje hus eller avdelning är avsett för olika tropiska och subtropiska områdens flora och har därmed ett klimat och en temperatur som är anpassat för de växter som finns där. Palmhuset färdigställdes på hösten 1878. It was built in 1878 with the Crystal Palace in Hyde Park in London as a model. Palmhuset consists of five departments: Palmhuset (Mittskeppet), Medelhavshuset, Kameliahuset, Tropikhuset and Vattenhuset. Each house or department is intended for the flora of different tropical and subtropical areas and thus has a climate and a temperature that is adapted to the plants that are there.
