The Big (Kissing) Galahs
The sculpture Kissing Galahs is at the Village Building "master planned community" of over 300 houses and apartments at 'The Fair' at North Watson. The two giant birds (each about the size of a substantial seal) are posed together on a giant log and seem about to "kiss", if that's what birds do.
It was created in 2013 by local Canberran Artist Bev Hogg and Elizabeth Patterson and was comissioned by Village Building.
In order to log this virtual cache, the following requirements must be met:
- Visit the listed co-cordinates and take a photo of yourself in front of the "Kissing Galahs" statue. Photo must include yourself and something with your name on it. (This could be a piece of paper with your team name on it or even your personal pathtag [ensuring it is readable]). This photo is to be attached to your online log.
- There is a Communications pit near the big hotel sign. On this pit cover, there is 4 letters in the bottom right hand corner. What are the letters? [please do NOT put this in your log] You need to email (or GC message) these letters through to the CO prior to logging.
Logs that do not comply with the above requirements will be deleted.
