Once upon a time, long, long ago there existed the Nordic Ice Arena; a showcase available to the good people in and around Hartland, Michigan. In 1974, the Detroit Red Wings even held their training camp at the arena. But this was not it's true claim to fame. On April 4th, 1975, KISS and their Army descended upon this quiet hamlet to support their most recent album, "Dressed to Kill". Stories of drunkeness, drug use, and locked bathrooms ensued. Looking at the modern building currently located here, it's hard to imagine this lot filled beyond capacity, and the community outrage that it caused almost scuttling the upcoming REO Speedwagon concert. All here in little, ol' Hartland! The Arena is long gone, replaced with a lumber store, then a Walmart, and so on. But once, you could rock and roll all night and maybe even party every day right here.
For the original article explaining this amazing place, please visit this site: Livingston Post Article. It's a great story whose details I don't want to copy verbatim but deserve a good, long read.
To record this find, please go to the location at the coordinates. Facing the current building with the lamp post dividing your field of vision in two, you will see a sign to the left in the general location of below the building's address. Please message me the digit or digits on this sign. Otherwise, as proof you may also post a picture of yourself wishing you were at a KISS concert (if so, be careful not to include the answer in your picture!) ALL logs that have not provided proof within seven days of the find will be deleted.
