Here you will find yourself at the Wiradjuri Dreaming Centre, a space for sharing and celebrating Wiradjuri Culture - this Virtual Cache will be a bit of a choose your own adventure as you explore the many things this place has to offer.
Forbes is located in the heart of Wiradjuri Country which spreads to Gilgandra in the North, Lithgow in the East, Albury in the South and Hay to the West. Geographically Wiradjuri is the largest Indigenous Nation within NSW.
This Centre was opened in 2016 after much fundraising by the local community, it hosts an outdoor area which is always open and includes:
- A Scar Tree
- A Yarning Circle
- An Story Pole walk along the River
- Sand Dance Ring
- Information Signs
If you are really lucky you may visit on a day when a festival or celebration is on either in the grounds or inside the centre!
