Skulpturen REFLEXIONS har en takkrans, som i likhet med Pantheon er åpen opp mot himmelen. I sitt sentrum har skulpturen en speilblank sfære, en speilkule, som reflekterer dette indre rommet, en indre verden. Samtidig tar speilkulen ned og fanger et bilde av himmelen. To verdener, to rom – et indre og et ytre som er åpne og transparente mot hverandre. Skulpturen har et uttrykk som forandres både om dagen, om natten og etter årstidene. Med sin lysthuslignende form knytter skulpturen også an til den tid da DKNVS ble grunnlagt. I slutten av 1700-tallet hadde lysthusene en blomstringstid. Opplysningstidens overbevisning om vitenskapens evne til å gagne menneskeheten blir igjen aktuell.
Når det er mørkt blir lyset i REFLEXIONS farget. Fargen er bestemt av temperaturen klokken 12 tidligere på dagen sammenliknet med gjennomsnittstemperaturen i byen på 1762 på samme dato, ut fra målingene til Johan Daniel Berlin.
Differansen mellom disse målingene gir så koden til bestemmelse av fargebelysningen når det mørkner mot kveld og natt. Rød viser at temperaturen er høyere enn på tilsvarende tid i 1762, blå betyr lavere temperatur, mens hvitt lys angir samme temperatur i fortid og nåtid.

The sculpture REFLEXIONS has a roof wreath, which, like the Pantheon, is open to the sky. In its center, the sculpture has a mirror-like sphere, a mirror ball, which reflects this inner space, an inner world. At the same time, the mirror ball descends and captures an image of the sky. Two worlds, two spaces – an interior and an exterior that are open and transparent to each other. The sculpture has an expression that changes both during the day, at night and according to the seasons. With its gazebo-like shape, the sculpture also links to the time when DKNVS was founded. At the end of the 18th century, the gazebos had a heyday. The Enlightenment's conviction about science's ability to benefit humanity is once again relevant.
When it is dark, the light in REFLEXIONS is colored. The color is determined by the temperature at 12 o'clock earlier in the day compared to the average temperature in the city in the 1762 on the same date, based on the measurements of Johan Daniel Berlin.

The difference between these measurements then provides the code for determining the color lighting when it gets dark towards evening and night. Red shows that the temperature is higher than at the corresponding time in 1762, blue means a lower temperature, while white light indicates the same temperature in the past and present.

Go to the given coordinates and take a picture with the statue in the background, and with yourself, or a part of you in the foreground. Upload the image in the log. There is no need to send any messages to the cache owner.
