STIM
STIM (Sjømatteknisk Institutt AS) har bygget et nytt anlegg på Storeidet i Vestvågøy kommune i Lofoten. Det nye anlegget ble offisielt åpnet i 2018 og er et av de mest moderne anleggene for sjømatteknologi i verden.
Anlegget har en total areal på over 11 000 kvadratmeter og inneholder laboratorier, produksjonsfasiliteter og kontorer. Anlegget er utstyrt med avansert teknologi for å kunne tilby tjenester som kvalitetskontroll, forskning og utvikling innenfor sjømatindustrien.
STIM sitt nye bygg har også fokus på bærekraft, og det er lagt vekt på å minimere miljøpåvirkningen. Anlegget har blant annet en egen renseanlegg for å behandle avløpsvannet, og det er også installert solcellepaneler på taket for å produsere fornybar energi.
Det nye anlegget gir STIM muligheten til å utvikle nye teknologier og tjenester for sjømatindustrien, og bidrar til å styrke Lofotens posisjon som en ledende region innenfor sjømatnæringen.
