Apciemo senāko saglabājušos degvielas uzpildes staciju Latvijā! Tā atrodas Tukuma pašā centrā – Brīvības laukumā (toreiz Tirgus laukums).
18. gs. beigās šajā vietā atradās hercoga zivju dīķis. 1802. gada pilsētas plānā zemes gabals vēl nav apbūvēts, bet 1892. gadā to savā īpašumā ieguva Lība Bērmane. Tas ir viens no mazākajiem gruntsgabaliem Tukumā. 20. gs. 30. gados te sāka darbību kompānijas “Shell Company of Latvia Ltd., London Ltd” degvielas noliktavas un degvielas uzpildes stacija. Nav precīzas informācijas, kad šai namiņā izbeidzās degvielas tirgošana, visticamāk – pēc Otrā pasaules kara, jo 60. gados tur jau bija saldumu un saldējuma kiosks. Tagad namiņš pieder pašvaldībai un to nomā ceļojumu aģentūra.

At the end of the 18th century there was the duke's fishpond. In the city plan of 1802, the plot of the land had not been built yet, but in 1892 this land was owned by Liba Bermane. It is one of the smallest plots in Tukums. In the 1930s, the plot was home to “Shell Company of Latvia Ltd., London Ltd.”, a fuel warehouse and filling station. There is no exact information when the gas station stopped operating, it could be after WWII, because in the 60s there was already a candy and ice cream kiosk. Now it belongs to the municipality and is rented by a travel agency.
To register the cache, you need to add the photo how you fuel up in this place. There is a public drinking water pump nearby, but you can also get creative.
