CITO HEROES HONOURED WITH STATUE!
Those recycling pioneers and environmental activists The Wombles have been recognised for their lifelong endeavours by the unveiling of a wooden bench depicting the slightly lazy, but resourceful and kind Orinoco Womble, complete with scarf in AFC Wimbledon colours! The other end of the bench has a full rubbish bin with litter scattered around - again carved out of wood.
The bench was unveiled last year by Marcus Robertson, son of The Wombles' author Elizabeth Beresford, along with his sister Kate Robertson, and the benches sculptor Lorraine Botterill. A teenaged Marcus was allegedly the inspiration for the character of Orinoco - a shirker who loves sleep and food. Though lazy and slothful by nature, Orinoco is resourceful and always means well, and is capable of some surprising acts of moral and physical courage.

How to claim this cache
To claim a find on this virtual cache you will need to complete the following:
Firstly answer these 3 simple questions - At the back of the bench there are various items carved into it.
1.What colour is the magazine?
2. How many crisp packets are there?
3. What is the name of the sponsor on the bottom right.
Please send your answers to me via the message link on the cache page or through e-mail or on the app.
Secondly please post a photo of yourself, your GPS, or a personal item such as a trackable or mascot etc. at GZ, including the bench in the background. Please do not include spoilers in your picture. You do not have to include your face. The ability to request a picture as a logging requirement is allowed as per the geocaching guidelines here.
Once you have fulfilled these requirements please feel free to log a find. If there is an issue with it I will contact you. If it is evident that you have not fulfilled the logging requirement in any way your log will be deleted without notice.
