Geocache Description:

This Virtual Cache is open year-round from 6 am – midnight.

Spoonbridge and Cherry is located in the northern portion of the Minneapolis sculpture garden which is near the Walker Art Center.

This sculptural fountain was funded as a gift from Frederick R. Weisman in honor of his parents, William and Mary Weisman.

Designed by Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen it was completed and installed in 1988

Spoonbridge and Cherry has become one of the Twin Cities' most iconic images and known as the unofficial symbol of Minneapolis.

The Walker Art Center reported receiving more requests for images of Spoonbridge and Cherry than any other work in its collections.

At GZ near the handle of the spoon you should see a sign. To claim this find, message or email me the answer to the following question:

What is the last word In the lower right hand corner of the sign?

Please no posted pictures of the sign.

Note:  Fee required for parking lot posted coords. Free parking may be available on the street if you are lucky.
