"Good, good, I like Madrid. The ground's soft enough to bury them in!"
A quote from the movie Wild Hogs that I blurted out upon seeing Madrid on the sign while headed toward New Mexico's oldest (GC191 - Open Space 7). Once my partner in crime figured out what I was talking about, she insisted we jump off at the upcoming exit and head over to tour this town that we know well from a movie my dad and I absolutely love. I didn't have the chance to ride through here (yet), but at least I got to drive through, grab a cache, and quench the thirst nearby. This virtual will bring you to a pretty major landmark - well, in that movie at least.
Yes I know it got terrible reviews. Yes I know not everyone has the same tastes. I love it anyway.
Your tasks:
1) Tell me what "famous landmark" you are at.
2) Take a picture of you, your gps, or a sign w/ your name on it (or something similar) at GZ w/ the "landmark" in the background. Post it!
Optional:
3) Post a favorite quote from the movie!
Please use the geocaching messaging system and the "Message this owner" link above to send answers. (It helps me keep track.) Or if you'd prefer, you can send an email. Either will work.
You must visit the site to claim this cache. There is no container or log to sign, but if you're trying to photoshop a find, your skills better be good enough to fool me. Enjoy Madrid, and grab some other caches while you're in town!
"When are you coming back through?"
"A biker never knows. Maybe a week. Maybe a month. Six days, ten hours, 27 minutes, give or take six minutes for wind resistance."
