迎賓館赤坂離宮は、明治42年に東宮御所として建設された、日本では唯一のネオ・バロック様式による宮殿建築物です。
外国からの賓客を迎えることが多くなったため、大規模な改修を施し、和風別館の新設と合わせて昭和49年に迎賓館として開館しました。以来、国の迎賓施設として、訪日した多くの各国要人の宿泊、首脳会談、署名式や晩餐会などに使用されています。
創建100年後の平成21年には、日本の建築を代表するものの一つとして国宝に指定されました。
このバーチャルキャッシュにfoundログをつけるためのタスクは、以下のとおりです。

公開座標付近で主庭の噴水と本館が一緒に写るように写真を撮り、ログに添付してください。写真には、あなた自身（顔は必須ではありません）、持ち物、日付の入った入場券のいずれか一つを必ず写真に入れてください。
■主庭は日没後は入れません。
■迎賓館の参観コースはいくつかありますが、このバーチャルキャッシュのためには「庭園参観」のみが必要です（一般 300円、大学生以下 無料／庭園参観のみの場合は予約不要）。
■必ず事前にホームページで参観可能日、時間、注意事項等をご確認ください。
■入り口でセキュリティチェックがあります。空港のようなX線手荷物検査、金属探知ゲートがありますので、ジオキャッシング用ハサミ等の意図せぬ携帯にはご注意ください。またセキュリティチェックに時間がかかることがありますので、時間に余裕をもってお出かけください。

The State Guest House, Akasaka Palace (SGH AP) was the only palace in Japan that was built based on the neo-Baroque style as Togu Gosho (Crown Prince's Palace) in 1909.
In response to the increasing number of foreign dignitaries, the facilities were extensively restored and remodeled along with the construction of a new Japanese Style Annex and made a fresh start as the current SGH AP in 1974.
Since then, it has been used as a national facilities to receive foreign dignitaries, accommodating dignitaries visiting Japan, summit meetings, signing ceremonies, and banquets.
The task for logging “found” on this virtual cache is as follows:
Task:
Take a photo of the main building and the fountain in the Main Garden together near the posted coordinates and attach it to the log. Be sure to include one of the following in the photo: yourself (face not required), your belongings, or your dated admission ticket.
■The main garden is not accessible after sunset.
■There are several courses for visiting the SGH AP, but only a "garden visit" is required for this virtual cache (¥300 for adults, free for university students and younger/no reservation required for garden visit only).
■Please be sure to check the website in advance for available days and hours, as well as any restrictions on what you can bring with you. There is airport-like X-ray baggage check and metal detection gate. Security checks may take some time, so please visit when you have enough time.
