When I was awarded this virtual, I agonised long and hard where to put it. After ruling out so many places, the answer hit me between the eyes, it had to be a homage to one of Wolverhampton's favourite sons.
Billy Wright only played for Wolves, he captained them to three league titles, two charity shields and an FA cup. Never booked, never sent off and all from playing centre half at the height of 5 foot 8 inches! On top of that Billy played 105 times for England, becoming the first player in the world to appear 100 times for their country. Even today only eight have more caps for England.
After retiring he became manager of Arsenal and then moved into TV work becoming head of sport for ATV and then Central. As Wolves' greatest ever player he was honoured by the naming of the main stand in 1993 and then the very lifelike statue in 1996 two years after his death.

This virtual is placed in memory of my mom who we lost last year. She took me to my first ever game and sat beside me as season ticket holders for more than 30 years. Billy was one of her heroes.
