Geocache Description:


Welcome to Halifax biggest park on the peninsula Point Pleasant Park (PPP). Over the times this park saw multiple use since the arrival of colonists, including military ones during the World Wars. In modern days this park is used by the public to enjoy the shoreline and the wooden areas by using the multiple trails available by foot, bicycle or with their dogs.

The park close at 2200.

The memorial that is at Ground Zero is to commemorate those from the Royal Canadian Navy and the Merchant Navy that made the ultimate sacrifice during the World Wars and their bodies got lost to sea.

To log this virtual cache, please send a private message to the cache owner and complete the following two tasks:

  1. Please post a photo in your log of yourself or a personal item at the monument.
  2. Send a message privately to the cache owner: How many names are on the monument? (3rd paragraph on the plaque in front of the monument if you look from the trail, see picture provided if you are unsure which plaque)
