Il campanile di Treviglio, è in realtà una torre civica in stile gotico lombardo prospiciente la Basilica di San Martino e Santa Maria Assunta sul lato nordovest, chiesa principale della città. Con i suoi 62,42 metri d'altezza, è il simbolo per eccellenza dell'intera città e rappresenta un punto di riferimento costante, visibile a chilometri di distanza.
La torre civica di Treviglio è un esempio di gotico lombardo sormontato da una caratteristica cuspide a forma conica. Il gotico lombardo è ravvisabile nella longinearità della struttura, così come nella forma a sesto acuto delle nichhie di contenimento delle bifore.
I livelli orizzontali della torre sono sottolineati da una serie di archetti pensili incrociati; la cella campanaria si apre sui quattro lati attraverso esili colonnine binate coronate da capitelli a foglie d'acanto.
La torre è coronata da una balaustra con archetti a tutto sesto e ilo gioco di alleggerimento verso l'alto trova compiutezza nella cuspide.
Lungo il nato nord della torre sono visibili le tracce di due leoni rampanti che probabilmente affiancavano lo stella della Città dipinto nella nicchia ancora visibile.

The clocktower of Treviglio, is actually a civic tower in Lombard Gothic style overlooking the Basilica of San Martino and Santa Maria Assunta on the northwest side, the main church of the city. With its 62.42 meters of height, it is the symbol par excellence of the entire city and represents a constant point of reference, visible from miles away.
The civic tower of Treviglio is an example of Lombard Gothic surmounted by a characteristic conical spire. The Lombard Gothic style can be seen in the long line of the structure, as well as in the pointed arch shape of the niches containing the mullioned windows.
The horizontal levels of the tower are underlined by a series of crossed hanging arches; the belfry opens on all four sides through slender coupled columns crowned by capitals with acanthus leaves.
The tower is crowned by a balustrade with round arches and the lightening effect towards the top is completed in the cusp.
Traces of two rampant lions are visible along the north side of the tower which probably flanked the star of the City painted in the still visible niche.
