This Virtual is to focused on the fountain as a part of the Columbine High School Memorial, which was designed to celebrate the lives of those victims and all those who were touched on April 20, 1999. I myself had to sit down at the fountain, pausing to absorb the enormity of the tragedy from all those years ago (It is worth taking the time to read each of their plaques which honor their memories). There is a nice walkway to the Memorial, but wheelchairs may need some extra help as there is a slight incline.

On A personal note, My Great Niece was a freshman at Columbine High School, at the time of the shooting. Her dad, my nephew, was the principal architect for the Memorial and the Fountain was his special project.
