[FI] Muistojen kappeli on rakennettu kaikkien alavutelaisten sankarivainajien muistoksi. Se sijaitsee Alavuden sankarihautausmaalla paikalla, jossa oli ennen Alavuden ensimmäinen ja toinen kirkko. Kappeli on pienehkö jyrkkäkattoinen rakennus, jonka lattian pinta-ala on täsmälleen samankokoinen kuin paikalla aiemmin ollut Alavuden ensimmäinen saarnahuone. Kappelin sivuseinillä ovat vapaussodan, talvisodan ja jatkosodan muistotaulut, joihin on kirjoitettu kaikkien näissä sodissa kuolleiden alavutelaisten nimet. Alttarin oikeanpuoleisella seinällä on puolestaan seurakunnassa palvelleiden kirkkoherrojen nimet.
Kappelin takaseinällä on suuri yli 4 metriä korkea lasimaalaus, jonka on suunnitellut taiteilija Bruno Tuukkanen ja valmistanut S. Wuorion lasimaalaamo vuonna 1955. Lasimaalauksen yläosa kuvaa sankarihautajaisia, taustalla kellotapuli ja kunniaa tekevät liput. Toisessa vyöhykkeessä on sotaleski, sotaorpoja ja rauhanenkeli. Alimmassa vyöhykkeessä on kuvattuna joukko kirkollisia symboleja: goottilainen kirkon pääty, pyhimys ja karitsa. Tämä vyöhyke symbolisoi kirkon ja uskonnon vaikeina aikoina tarjoamaa lohdutusta. [EN] The chapel of memories is built in memory of all the fallen soldiers of Alavus. It is located in the soldier's graveyard of Alavus, which once housed the first and second churches in Alavus. The chapel is a small, steep-roofed building with a floor area exactly the same size as the first preaching room in Alavus. On the side walls of the chapel are memorial plaques of the War of Independence, the Winter War, and the Continuation War, on which are written the names of all the soldiers of Alavus who died in these wars. On the right wall of the altar, in turn, are the names of the pastors who served in the parish.
On the back wall of the chapel is a large stained glass window over 4 meters high, designed by the artist Bruno Tuukkanen and made by S. Wuorio's stained glass workshop in 1955. The upper part of the stained glass depicts a hero's funeral, with a belfry and glorious flags in the background. In the second zone there is a war widow, war orphans and an angel of peace. The lower zone depicts a number of ecclesiastical symbols: the Gothic head of the church, the saint and the lamb.
