El Museo Reina Sofía,es el museo de arte del siglo XX y contemporáneo. En él se atesora una importante colección de arte moderno y contemporáneo español, de reconocido valor internacional. El Museo reune obras de Dalí, Miró y Juan Gris, además de la obra más reconocida de Picasso, El Guernica, que recuerda el dolor de las víctimas del bombardeo de Guernica el 27 de abril de 1937, sucedido durante la guerra civil española. Aunque personalmente mi obra favorita es el Profeta de Gargallo.
No es obligatorio que visitéis el museo para registrar el cache, pero si altamente recomendable. El horario del Museo es el siguiente:
Lunes, miércoles, jueves, viernes y sábado de 10:00 a 21:00 h
Domingo de 10:00 a 14:30 h
Martes cerrado

Para este Virtual Cache, os proponemos un juego artístico relacionado con las obras del Museo Reina Sofía. ¡Esperemos que os guste la idea!
Nuestra propuesta es la siguiente:
- Visitad el museo con vuestros materiales de pintura, tal como hacen muchos estudiantes de Bellas Artes.
- Recorred el Museo y seleccionad la obra que más os ha gustado, o simplemente, la que más ha despertado vuestra creatividad.
- Haced vuestra propia versión de la obra, firmándola con vuestro pseudónimo de Geocaching.
- Cuando terminéis de recorrer el museo, haceos una foto en las coordenadas iniciales (enfrente de la puerta del Museo). No es necesario que mostréis vuestras caras, pero es requisito obligatorio que se vea claramente tanto vuestra obra en la puerta del Museo. Los logs que no cumplan este requisito serán borrados.
- Por favor, referenciad en el log, cuál es la obra (título y autor) que os ha inspirado.
Si no vais a visitar el Museo, podéis hacer una visita virtual en la web del Museo para buscar vuestra obra. Por supuesto, no es necesario que seáis grandes artistas ¡Sed creativos!. Aquí os presentamos nuestras “obras de arte”, junto con el enlace a la obra original del Museo.

Resumen de los requisitos para loguear el cache:
- Colgar una foto de una versión de un cuadro del Reina Sofía pintada por vosotros, firmada con vuestro usuario de Geocaching, enfrente de la Puerta del Museo de Reina Sofía.
- Incluid en el log el nombre y autor de la obra original.

The Reina Sofía Museum is a museum for art from the XX Century and Contemporary Art. It shows a very important collection of modern and contemporary art, mainly from spanish artists, but also from international artists. There are works from Dalí, Miró, Juan Gris or Picasso. Maybe, the most known work in the museum is “Guernica” from Pablo Picasso, which recalls the pain and horror of the victims from the bombing of the market in Guernica during the Spanish Civil War in 1937.
It is not compulsory to visit the museum to register the cache, but it is highly recommended. Opening times are:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10:00 to 21:00.
Sundays from 10:00 to 14:30
Tuesday closed.
Entrance is free during the two last opening hours each day!
In this virtual cache we propose an artistic game, related with the works that you can see at the Museum. Hope you enjoy it!
- Visit the museum. Take with you your painting materials, like Art students do.
- Select the work you like the most at the museum, or maybe, one that simply inspires you!
- Make your own version of the work, and sign it with your geocaching name.
- When you leave the museum, take a picture of your art piece in front of the museum (at the initial coordinates). It is not neccesary that you show your faces, but it is compulsory to show the work you did at the museum facade. Logs that don’t meet this requirement will be deleted.
- Make reference in your log of the original work, from which you took inspiration (namely you should include title and author).
If you don’t want to visit the museum, you can visit the works virtually on the museum’s web. Of course, you don’t need to be a great artist! Just be creative! Above at the spanish descrition, you can see our works.
Summary of the requirements to log the cache:
- Upload a picture at the gate of the museum (cache coordinates) of a painting made by you inspired by one of the paintings/sculptures from the Reina Sofia museum. This version must be signed with your geocaching name.
- The log must include the title and author of the original painting (from which you took inspiration)
