Trbovlje so mesto premoga, rudnika in knapov. Bile. Dolgo, več kot dvesto let. Kumarati v jami so dihali skupaj kot eden. Kamaradšaft je obrodil sadove povsod – vsi za enega, eden za vse. Je torej kaj čudnega, da je akademski kipar Zoran Poznič v spomin na rudarje v Trbovljah in v celem Zasavju iz odpadnega železa iz rudnika izdelal kip Prometeja? Prometeja, ki z utripajočim rdečim srcem in zelenim žarkom iz svetilke na čeladi opominja sedanje in bodoče rodove na enotnost, tovarištvo in nesebičnost. Spomenik, ki naj bi poosebljal vse tisto, kar Trboveljčani in Trboveljčanke nosimo v svoji krvi, v svojem genetskem zapisu. Če že premoga ni več, naj te vrednote ostanejo in naj jih ljudje gojijo in negujejo, naj rastejo in se razraščajo.

A monument that is supposed to embody everything that the people of Trbovlje carry in their blood, in their genetic record. If coal is no more, let these values remain and let people cultivate and nurture them, let them grow and grow.
