Svenska Ostindiska Companiet (SOIC) var ett svenskt handelskompani bildat 1731 som från Göteborg handlade med Östasien, framför allt med Kina. Under de första åren var resorna mycket lönsamma, för att under slutet av 1700-talet nästan alltid gå med förlust. Totalt genomfördes 132 expeditioner med 37 olika skepp. Kompaniet upplöstes 29 maj 1813.

The Swedish East India Company (Swedish: Svenska Ostindiska Companiet or SOIC) was founded in Gothenburg, Sweden, in 1731 for the purpose of conducting trade with China and the Far East. This made Gothenburg a European center of trade in eastern products. The main goods were silk, tea, furniture, porcelain, precious stones and other distinctive luxury items.
It grew to become the largest trading company in Sweden during the 18th century, a total of 132 expeditions were carried out with 37 different ships. The company folded in 1813,
