The Braemar snow gate camera is used throughout the winter by many ski and snowboard enthusiasts to check the road status and condition prior to leaving their house. It is an invaluable resource for many and locally treasured.
It sits on the Southern A93 exit from Braemar, just beside the Caravan site entrance and the online image is constantly updated once per minute.
This road is used by many tourists throughout the year, but especially during the summer period to take in some of the beautiful scenery that Scotland has to offer.
To log this cache, you must visit the camera location and post a photo in your log as proof. You should include the camera in your photo or for extra brownie points, pull up the camera website listed below and post a screenshot from it, with you or something belonging to you in the shot. The more creative the shot, the more virtual brownie points you will get
There is a flat pathway on the far side of the road so you do not need to venture on to the roadway.
