The Duke Blue Devils are known for being one of the winningest NCAA Division I men's college basketball teams--but basketball isn't the only sport at this prestigious university!
From this spot, you can see Cameron Indoor Stadium (basketball, volleyball, wrestling), Wallace Wade Stadium (football), and Taishoff Aquatic Pavilion (swiming & diving). In the immediate area, you'll also find Morris Williams Stadium (track & field), Koskinen stadium (lacrosse & soccer), Coombs Field (baseball) and more, as well as the Duke Basketball Museum and the Team Store.
Parking is available nearby for $2/hr (credit cards/mobile payments accepted). On Duke Campus, there are also several earth caches, traditionals, a multi and an Adventure Lab, as well as sights including a nice nature trail (~3mi), Duke Chapel and Duke Gardens.
To log this cache, you must do ONE of the following:
- Take a picture of you, your hand foot, GSPr, etc. (something to show you were actually there!) in front of your favorite sport location in the immediate area (faces not required, as per Geocaching guidelines)
- Locate the bust. (At GZ, face the football stadium and look down.) Locate the plaque beneath the bust. Add the three individual numbers on the bottom row of the plaque and send the total to me via the "Send answers" option. Logs with posted answers will unfortunately have to be deleted.
