Tallangatta Lookout
Once upon a time there was a traditional cache here, but it was archived. The spot is too good to not have a cache for people to enjoy the views - one of the best of Lake Hume in the area. There is a picnic table so you could enjoy your lunch as well.
To claim this cache please answer the following questions (all information is on signs in the area) - feel happy to log straight away but I will try and respond as quickly as possible.
- What is the name on the Memorial Drive when you turn off the Murray Valley Highway?
- In what year did the moving of Tallangatta commence?
- What is the area submerged by Lake Hume (in hectares)?
Love to see photos of your team enjoying the view but this is not a requirement of the cache.
The drive up here is steep but is sealed so should be accessible in all weathers. Probably not one for walking or cycling (is narrow with some tight corners). Like many areas in Australia there may be snakes.
