Geocache Description:

One of the iconic red K2 phone boxes in the capital.

You are looking for the one which is the second phone box in after turning right from parliament street. So you dont get confused with the K6, the K2 has eighteen little windows, 6x3 in each door of the same size where the K6 has twenty four, eight of one shape and sixteen of another 8x3.

The K2 red phone box was a winning design from a competition in 1924 to find a national kiosk.Designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, first introduced in 1926, over the next nine years only 1700 would be installed and mostly in London.

Due to not being used, there are nowhere near as many left with just over 200 still around though they have received Grade II listing status from English Heritage.

Beware of the insides as they arent cleaned often if at all, and they usually dont have a nice smell.

The doors are heavy so watch where you put your fingers.

To claim a find on this virtual you simply have to have a photo taken of yourself or selves though because you do not need to show your face, your cachers name on a bit of paper etc  instead with the phonebox and Big Ben in view will also do.though not necessarily the whole box, this can be inside if you wish, but must show the clock tower (Big Ben)as well.Due to the amount of people queuing i am happy for the picture to be from further away.
