Geocache Description:

The seaside pleasure palace of the Prince Regent (George IV) transformed by John Nash between 1815 and 1823 into one of the most dazzling and exotic buildings in the country.

The Royal Pavilion mixes Regency grandeur with Indian architecture and Chinese inspired interiors.

Brighton suited George who was a vain and extravagant man with a passion for fashion, the arts, architecture and good living. He rebelled against his strict upbringing and threw himself into a life of drinking, womanising and gambling in the palace which had no expense spared on the opulent decoration and exquisite furnishings.

Of course a tour inside the Pavilion is highly recommended to take in the magnificance of the interior.

Requirement to log a find.

At the posted coordinates take a photo with either you, your GPS or a piece of paper with your cachers name showing the front of the Royal Pavilion.

Post the picture with your LOG.

*** Update November 2022

Unfortunately, since the cache was placed a temporary ice rink obscures the view of the Pavilion from the posted coordinates for a few months in winter. In these circumstances an alternative location of your photo which shows the Pavilion will be ok.

Understandably any logs that haven't included a photo as per requirements will be deleted.
