Den flotte udsigtsplatform, der i form af Danmarks yderste odde, strækker sig ud fra toppen af Pikkerbakken, er en af Frederikshavns flotteste attraktioner. Platformen giver en unik udsigt over byen, havnen og Hirsholmene med kig til både Sæby og Skagen - i klart vejr kan du også se helt til Læsø. Ved platformen kan du se Kongestenen, hvor tre gange Kong Frederik har sat deres navnetræk den seneste er dog endnu kronprins). Udsigtspunktet er også et yndet sted at blive viet.
Pikkerbakken er en del af en 3 km lang kystskrænt, der er dannet af Yoldia- og Litorinahavet i istiden. Den imponerende skrænt er opstået efter den største landhævning i Danmark. Selve Pikkerbakken rejser sig 71 meter over havet.

The beautiful viewing platform, is one of Frederikshavn's most beautiful attractions. The platform offers a unique view of the city, the harbor and Hirsholmene with a view of both Sæby and Skagen - in clear weather you can also see all the way to Læsø. At the platform you can see Kongestenen, where three times King Frederik has put their name feature, the latest is still the Crown Prince. The vantage point is also a favorite place to get married.
Pikkerbakken is part of a 3 km long coastal slope formed by the Yoldia and Litorina seas during the ice age. The impressive slope has emerged after the largest land uplift in Denmark. Pikkerbakken itself rises 71 meters above sea level.
TO LOG THIS VIRTUAL CACHE, YOU MUST:
Upload 2 photos together with your logging where in one photo you point to the current Crown Prince Frederik's signature AND in the other where you point to the tip of the viewing platform - either with your GPS, your finger or something with your geoname on it. You are also very welcome to upload a selfie where you are standing on the spot - but it is voluntary.
Remember to upload the 2 photos together with the logging of the cache - if these are missing, the log will be deleted without notice.
