Welcome to South Williamsport, home to Little League Baseball International, this is where the world comes together every August to enjoy baseball games played by kids from all over. It has been the dream of many young players to be able to come here to play.
From here you are overlooking the complex, which consist of the dormitories’ where the teams live during their stay, the 2 main fields, Lamade and Volunteer Stadiums, the hill where the young and young at heart slide down on pieces of cardboard and the many practice fields. Most of the area is open and you can walk around to get a closer look at things.
I’ve visited here many times from the early 60’s on, starting when I was twelve and was enthralled by the boys from other nations just as pre-teen girls have done thru the ages. At that time, I had no idea what a big deal it was for them to be here. There have been many changes made since then, all for the good.
