This is not your typical Virtual geocache!
Before you get started, we bid you welcome to the original and historic Nelson BC train station, now converted into the Visitors Information Centre.
Many of the Nelson region’s first founders and countless families took their very first steps into the city on the planked arrival platform of this historic CP Rail Building over 120 years ago.
This is where your adventure will begin too!
STEP A: LOG THE VIRTUAL
Your first task is to log this Virtual cache. To do so, you must:
1. Take a photo of any part of the old train #7009 that you like or find cool, and post the pic with your log entry. Included in your photo must either be your Geocache app, GPS device, or any part of YOU.
2. Look closely at the #7009 train. Who is the owner of it? Send the answer to us privately.
Both steps are REQUIRED in order to log this virtual, or logs will be deleted.
STEP B (optional - bonus cache): Turn around and head through the double doors and then to the right, into the visitors centre.
As soon as you enter the 2nd set of doors, immediately look to your right where the brochures are, and look in the far right corner. You'll see a brochure that's geocache related. (Please let us know if supply is low and needs restocking)
STEP C: When you find the Geocache brochure (designed and created by yours truly), examine it closely and you'll find exactly what you need to get the bonus cache.
The cache hint will give you the GC code
Note: the Visitors Centre is open Monday thru Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM, open Saturdays till 4pm, closed Sundays and holidays.

**For those in a wheelchair - this virtual is accessible, however the trains are resting in gravel and it may be difficult to read the plaque without geting up close. In this case, binoculars or a friend would be your TOTT**
