Lincoln's "twisted tree" is an iconic Northern Catalpa, dating back to around 1900. An arborist analyzed the tree and believes the twisting comes from a genetic mutation. The tree has long been a symbol of the town of Lincoln, representing its commitment to community, conservation, and education.
The library itself is an impressive building. The Victorian building was architected by William Preston, a well-known Boston architect. It has many details worth taking a closer look at, both in and out.
