Petritoli è un delizioso borgo sorto intorno all’anno mille.
Nel periodo napoleonico raggiunse il massimo splendore architettonico e culturale con la costruzione dei tre monumenti più significativi:
- i Tre Archi, monumentale ingresso al paese incastonati tra due bastioni del XV secolo;
- la Torre Civica, alta 50 metri e composta da 5 basi diverse: quadrata, rettangolare, ottogonale, circolare, sferica;
- il Teatro dell’Iride, costruito nella seconda metà dell’800, è tra i più raffinati teatri storici marchigiani.
Dall’anno 2007 Petritoli è identificato come il “Paese dei Matrimoni”: infatti molte coppie di stranieri, insieme a numerosi ospiti, decidono di venire a sposarsi in questo borgo.
Per loggare la cache è necessario:
- pubblicare una propria foto alle coordinate indicate nel listing, con alle spalle la Torre Civica
- andare alle coordinate N 43°4,045’ E 13° 39,396’ e scrivere in privato il nome della via

Petritoli is a charming hamlet built around the year 1.000.
In the 19th century there was the construction of three significant monuments:
- the Three Arches, a monumental entrance to the hamlet, set between two 15th century bastions;
- the Civic Tower, 50 meters high and composed by 5 different bases: square, rectangular, octagonal, circular, spherical;
- Iride Theatre, built in the second half of the 19th century, it is one of the most polished historical theaters in the Marche region.
Since 2007 Petritoli has been identified as the "Hamlet of weddings": indeed many foreign couples, together with numerous guests, decide to come and get married in this place.
To log the cache you must:
- publish your own photo at the coordinates of the listing, with the Civic Tower behind you;
- go to N 43°4,045’ E 13° 39,396’ and privately write the street name.
To visit the Iride Theater and the Civic Tower ask at the Tre Archi Bar. If you dare to reach the top of the tower you will be rewarded by an amazing view!
