The most iconic view of Knysna town, the Knysna Estuary as well as the Swartberg Mountain range in the background is from where you now stand!
The estuary, locally referred to as ,Knysna Lagoon' (which is technically incorrect as the water here is sweet water from the Knysna River merged with tidal sea water and not a closed water body) measures some 1,633 hectares in size and opens out to the ocean through a narrow navigable channel between the Knysna Headlands, a striking rock barrier on both sides protruding high above the river mouth, formed of Table Montain Quarzite (TMQ) - the iconic "Knysna Heads".

To log this cache please enjoy the view from here as well as the other lookout points further back towards the ocean and complete the following tasks:
1) Write the date and your geocacher name ("handle") on paper, stand next to Mr. Wiggletoe, and take a picture of you both (you holding up your paper clearly visible, he holding his fish) with the lagoon in the backround at GZ, which you send to me via the message or email function above.
UPDATE: Mr. Wiggletoe was sadly vandalized by some idiot and has - for the time being - been removed by the artist - please just take a photo without him for now 😢!
2) In your mail please also include the source of the psalm reference found on the plaque on the big TMQ rock at the next viewpoint found under WAYPOINT 2.
