ROCK
There are roads off of Meteor Crater Road in the High Desert. Find the right one and after about a mile, you'll find a....rock. The rock. The rock that bears a cache. Sit on the rock. Ponder the view to the southwest - and yep - that's Meteor Crater out there about 4 miles. If you rotate your perusal to the northwest, you see the mountains of Flagstaff - and the never ending traffic on I40. Okay, enough pondering, move on....nothing to see here.
The cache is on State Trust Land. The State Land Department has no problem with geocaching, but we ask that participants know the following: A Recreation Permit is required to legally access State Trust Land.
