Join us 27/3/21, usually on the last Sunday of the month, Whitehaven Bushcare group in trying to eradicate the Paddy's Lucerne, Biden's or farmers friends , Mother of Millions (Bryophyllum species) paddy's lucerne
When: Sunday 10 am - 12 noon 27th March.
Where: Suggested parking Walker Street S33 43.170 E150 53.335
From the parking area, follow the fence line, past the electrical substation kiosk, towards a trailhead and enter the reserve
We will be meeting at the sign on at coords
S33 43.160 E150 53.260 assembly area at 10 am where we will cover a brief safety talk from the Bushcare co-coordinator. You will also need to sign your attendance on the Whitehaven Reserve Register as well as signing the official CITO log. If time permits we will take a picture of the group and then the plan is to then tackle some invasive species weed removal within the bushland, with particular emphasis on Paddy’s Lucerne, Biden’s Pilots, & slight numbers of Mother of Millions. The CITO event should last about an hour, with a break for morning tea.
In the area we will be working, the terrain is varied and covers gently sloping areas. Please work in the areas that you are most comfortable in.
What to Bring: Sun hat, sturdy shoes, long sleeve shirt, long pants, sunscreen, drinking water and gloves.
