In what has now become something of a tradition (apart from the last couple of years, for understandable reasons...), The Chilihouse (well, at least one of us...) will be waking up with a bucket of coffee in the obvious place, to celebrate the start of the Astronomical Spring. If the weather is kind then we might even be able to sit outside...
The venue is opposite a most appropriately named pub for an equinox...
We'll make sure that we have something caching related on our table to help you recognise us, usually a purple sweet tin for any trackables.
Today could be seen as important for geocachers, as from tomorrow, the hours of daylight are longer than the hours of darkness, so for those of us who don't do night caching then this gives us the opportunity to spend more time caching and attempt longer walks.

On the equinoxes the Sun shines directly on the equator and the length of day and night is nearly equal β but not quite.
The March equinox marks the moment the Sun crosses the celestial equator β the imaginary line in the sky above the Earthβs equator β from south to north and vice versa in September.
The actual time of the 2022Β Vernal Equinox in Hampshire is 15.33, but as that's far too late in the day for coffee, the event will be held fromΒ 08.15-09.00Β which hopefully isn't too early for everyone.

You can also, of course, bring along any trackables you have for swapping or discovering.
