It is highly likely that everyone has a favorite beverage. I have several. Just the smell and crisp taste of the first sip is enough to take me back years. I can remember my Papa's garage refridgerator and its cache of bottled and canned sodas and other beverages. It was always a treat, on a hot summer day, to get an invitation to get something out of the ice box.
The beverage you seek today was first introduced back in 1917 in Salisbury, North Carolina and is one of my personal favorites. Its unique black cherry flavor makes it easily recognizable and memorable. Since moving up to Maryland from North Carolina, it's one of the food items that I miss the most. When I find the occasional bottle in a store up here I will snap it up to treat myself.
