I've been wanting to bring some more attention to this memorial and I finally got around to it. Although not used in the puzzle itself, there is an Eternal Flame at the sidewalk right next to the Memorial parking area.
This is a very handsome memorial. I was first made aware of it because of a traditional cache that is located here. I thought that using a multi-cache to bring more attention to it would be a nice way to honor it. I have several caches across the country at various Veteran Memorials. Most of them in other games.
To determine the final coordinates, you will have to solve the field puzzle below using the memorial. You will use substitution for the letters in the answers to the questions. For example: A=1, B=2, C=3...Z=26.
The final is at N 32° 29.A0B W 085° 00.CD0
On the World War II Monument there is a quote by Franklin D. Roosevelt : A = the third letter in the third word.
On the Korean War Monument there is a quote by Dwight D. Eisenhower: B = the second letter in the first word.
On the Vietnam War Monument there is a quote by Lyndon B. Johnson: C = the third letter in the sixth word.
On the World War I Monument there is a quote by Woodrow Wilson: D = the third letter in the fourth word.
Checksum: A+B+C+D = 25
There is plenty of parking at the final location. The website states it's open from Dawn to Dusk. So, no night caching.
BYOP as the cache doesn't have one.
Please be aware of muggles from all directions.
Congratulations to Jazzmasters on their FTF!
