Geocache Description:

This geocache is located in Turkey Creek Preserve in northwest Gainesville. The preserve is a 376 acre preserve that was purchased in 2009 and opened to the public in 2021 with 5 miles of trails.  The preserve also contains a series of workout stations along one section of the trail.

Turkey Creek is an urban creek that flows through rural, suburban and agricultural areas before draining into a sinkhole in San Felasco Hammock state park.

This geocache was placed in preparation to teach the Geocaching merit badge for Scouts.  It is a small, camo'd container that is easily accessible from the trail.
