Alden to Iowa Falls River Caches
Layla's River Run ~ Park & Climb GC7QDKX is located at the launching location & GC8NNDD Geo-Friends Birthday Picnic Community Celebration is the take out/shuttle location for this adventure.
This portion of the river will only accomodate canoes, kayaks and floatation devices. This adventure can take several hours, depending on the size of your group and if you attempt all of the caches. Be prepared with food, water and sunscreen. There are no public restrooms along the route, except at the take-out and Calkins Nature Area (during business hours) and that's a good hike in.
Boat and people shuttles will be coordinated prior to, during the CITO and after the float.
If you intend on floating the river, please arrive an hour early.
IF YOU HAVE AN OPEN SPOT IN YOUR CANOE, PLEASE INDICATE THAT IN YOUR WILL ATTEND LOG. I AM PRETTY SURE WE CAN FILL IT. If you do not have a kayak or canoe, inner tubes will get you downstream also, although it will be more difficult to stop for caches, but still fun!
