I came to South Lakes Park this morning to do some caching and running, and I noticed that there was room to put a cache here at the entrance to the park. So, I decided to hop up and make a tree climb cache right here.
It is possible to grab this cache without a ladder (I didn't use one), but you may need some sort of assist to get started if you are vertically challenged. I had to jump to get into the tree, but it was a pretty simple climb after that. You are looking for a purple bison tube.
The park is open from 6AM to 10PM daily.
General Safety Disclaimer: Get these caches at your own risk. I recommend bringing a buddy just for safety, but that's up to you. In the event that you fall, it's nice to have someone there to help dust you off, or call for help if it's worse. If you don't feel safe climbing a certain tree, then don't. Please, don't do anything stupid. After all, it's just a game.
