This is a typical guard rail type hide. There is room to park right in front of the reflective end of the guard rail. The container is a larger magnetic pill bottle.
The scenic Upper Iowa River is an excellent river for canoeing or tubing. It is located in the Driftless Area of Northeast Iowa, left unharmed by glaciers. The Upper Iowa is the only river in Iowa nominated to be a National Wild and Scenic River. National Geographic includes canoeing the Upper Iowa River as one of the top 100 recommended adventures in the United States. It flows alongside towering limestone bluffs, waterfalls, public natural areas, hardwood forests, cold water springs, prairies, and farmland.
There are canoe outfitters nearby as well as campgrounds and a bar. The best view of the bluffs can be seen from the water. We highly recommend a float trip down this scenic river to take in the natural beauty of this area. However, the point of this cache is to get you to walk to the middle of this wide bridge to take in the scenic view of the Bluffton Bluffs up river (on your right).
