February 22, 2022 - World Thinking Day in Scouts and Girl Guides across the world!
Tonight, the 1st Topsail Cubs Pack A and B completed their Claime the Flame challenge 2022 for Scouts Canada. The challenge consisted of 4 activities to completed within a month. Tonight, they made lean tos or outdoor shelters with the environment around them.
While in the area, we decided to place a geocache as the area is beautiful both day and night. There is a campfire area here, which we used to have hot chocolate and a snack!
Drive to the end of Round Pond Road which leads to a dirt road. Follow the drit road and there is a trail to the geocache wooded area not to far. The trees in the snow were so peaceful! The geocache container is a 2KG peanut butter container painted green with a bungee cord keeping it to the tree branch. It has a log book, pencil, and a few items for swag. When it was placed, there was a trackable in it as well.
There are other geocaches in this area as well.
