Geocaching Adventure Lab
Geocaching Adventure Lab is a type of Lab Cache. They were originally developed to offer private or time-limited geocaches. Examples include business partnerships, Mega-Events, and other community events.
In 2019, Geocaching HQ extended the Adventure Lab experiment globally. A select number of geocaching organizations and more than 5,000 qualified geocachers were given the chance to create Adventures. These Adventures have no expiration date, although if there are issues they may be archived at the discretion of Geocaching HQ.
Find a Lab Cache
- Download the free Adventure Lab app.
- Log in with your Geocaching.com account.
- Select a nearby Adventure from the global directory. For private Adventures, use your phone's QR code scanner to open the Adventure in the Adventure Lab app.
- Navigate to the Adventure location and follow the instructions in the description.
Log a Lab Cache
To log a Lab Cache, finders must visit the location, discover the find code, and then enter the code into the app to mark the cache as found. You can view your Lab logs at https://labs.geocaching.com/logs.
